Module 1 : Project Management

Module 2 : Housing Association Development / Reinvestment

Assessments comprise:
- Module 1 The APM examination. This is set and marked by the Association of Project Management, and will be held early in May 2008 in the College of Central London. .Accreditation by the APM, under the fifth edition of the Body of Knowledge, has been applied for. Successful candidates will attain the professional qualification APMP. The course team will also set and mark applied coursework to be submitted in June 2008
- Module 2 The Housing Association Development written assignment. This will be set and marked by the course team and submitted by students early in January 2009. Candidates who are successful in the coursework assessments from both modules will attain a Certificate from the College of Central London.
Course background: - The course is overseen by a housing association sector Steering Group led by the NHF. Course Consultant is Andrew Drury of HATC Ltd, a leading trainer in the sector

Student responsibilities:
- undertake a programme of study prior to joining the course, attend the course in full
- have access to specified texts on the booklist provided, carry out study in their own time throughout the duration of the course (60-120 hours for Module 1, and 30-60 hours for Module 2 depending upon experience)
- submit work by post or email as required by the course team during the course

This is within comfortable walking distance of Old Street underground Station and Liverpool Street Station.
Admissions Criteria:
Applicants must have current project management work experience within a Housing Association, normally of at least two years duration. In addition applicants should have completed the following
1) A basic project management course, such as the APM Introductory Certificate in Project Management or a Prince2™ Foundation course.
2) Participation in N H F training courses
- Understanding the Development Process Part 1 (The Social Housing Grant System) (1 day)
- Understanding the Development Process Part 2 (Development Process Intro) (2 days)
- Intermediate Development (2 days)
Or be able to provide evidence of operating at an equivalent standard.
The College of Central London retains the right to modify the course and/or refuse applicants as it sees fit.
