PROJECT MANAGEMENT

The course follows the syllabus of the Association for Project Management (APM), the largest professional group in the field in Europe. The Association sets out to:

  • Reflect a European approach to Project Management
  • Embrace projects for a range of industry or market sectors
  • Not exclude other parts of the world or cultures

APM Introductory Certificate Course

A short course for those who wish to enhance their understanding of project management and improve their management expertise:

  • 12 hours of study including one 3 hour revision session
  • Modes of study and fees to be agreed with client
  • One Hour Multiple choice APM examination, held at the College or at other venues

APM Body of Knowledge

The authoritative Body of Knowledge, published by the APM, contains 7 Sections:

    • Project management in context
    • Planning the strategy
    • Executing the strategy
    • Techniques
    • Business and commercial
    • Organisation and governance
    • People and the profession

Twenty six sub-sections are taken from this to be assessed in the Introductory Certificate:
